Robin Crossman
DVM
Dr. Robin Crossman, a co-owner of Otterside Animal Hospital, graduated from the Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1984. He has practiced small animal medicine locally for over 30 years.  He and his wife, Melissa have six children and one grandson.  Dr. Crossman trains and participates in extreme endurance sporting events. Currently they own two dogs and two cats

Susan Hayden
​VMD
Dr. Hayden graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 1973.  She and her husband, Arden Hayden, DDS, practiced in rural Pennsylvania until 1977, when they moved to Sudbury, VT.  Dr. Hayden began her practice at her home and moved to the current location in 1998.  Dr. Hayden and her husband, who passed away in 2004, raised 6 boys and currently have 11, soon to be 12 grandchildren.  She has a French Bulldog, Marv; 2 cats, Greta and Rio; a Red bellied parrot named Tommy, and chickens.  In her free time, Dr. Hayden spends a lot of time with her grandchildren, loves to travel, cook and is an avid birder.

Veterinary Technician
Britt hails from Hubbardton Vermont, where she lives with her 2 dogs. She has been working at Otterside since 2012. She spends her free time riding her horse, Leroy, and enjoying her favorite foods, peanut butter and pickles. She is currently in school to earn a degree as an RN.

Courtney
Receptionist
​ Courtney works at Otterside as a part time receptionist. She is happily married with 2 beautiful kids. She has an amazing dog named Oscar, a border collie mix, and a cat named Jinx. She loves animals and has worked in the field on and off for 9 years. Her full time job is as a Phlebotomist with RRMC. She really enjoys taking care of both my people and my animals!

Receptionist
Jen graduated from Morrisville state college with a BA in Animal Science and Business Management Primarily Focused in Equine Reproduction. After College she worked in the animal field in several different states eventually returning to Vermont where she joined the Otterside team in 2017.
She loves to spend time with her young son  Aiden, and her two cats, Tigger and Stella Luna. Her favorite activities include trail riding on her horse Josie, hiking, beach time, fishing and snowboarding.

Ashley
Veterinary Technician/ Surgical Assistant
Ashley started at Otterside in January 2018 as a surgical, floating, and appointment technician. Prior to that she worked as a Technician at an emergency practice in Rutland. She has a BS in Animal Science from the University of Vermont, with a minor in Ecological Agriculture. Her love of animals and Veterinary medicine started at a young age on her family's dairy farm and sugar bush. She grew up raising beef and dairy cows as well as making maple syrup. Some of her earliest memories are of watching and assisting with veterinary care for her families herd! When she is not at Otterside she can be found hiking with her English Pointer mix Addison and helping out on the family farm!

Wendy Pringle
​Managing Partner
​Wendy feels honored to be a managing partner of Otterside Animal Hospital, where she combines her love of animals with her management skills. A graduate of the American Animal Hospital Association’s Veterinary Management Institute, she has managed a variety of small businesses, most recently a large veterinary practice. Happily married, she has some very special girls in her life, including a wonderful stepdaughter, two very special nieces, and a precious grand niece. She and her husband share their mini-farm with 3 extraordinary cats, 2 horses and a rescue pony

​Veterinary Technician/ Surgical Assistant
​Vickie has worked at Otterside Animal Hospital for over 25 years.  She grew up in Central New York and lived in Oregon for seven years before finally settling in Brandon, VT.  She has two grown sons and two grandchildren.  Vickie trains her French Bulldogs and shows them in both AKC Conformation and Performance Trials.  She belongs to three dog clubs, serving as the treasurer for two. In her spare time, Vickie enjoys kayaking, dog training, and exploring in her new motor home.

Veterinary Technician/ Surgical Assistant
Since Sarah's employment at Otterside Animal Hospital in 2011, she completed her B.S. in Biology at Castleton State College (2014). She loves all kinds of animals and has over ten years of experience as a veterinary technician. Not only does Sarah love helping animals, but she has also helped fellow soldiers as a medic in the Vermont Army National Guard, including a yearlong deployment in Afghanistan. She and her husband, Chad, live in Orwell, along with a fun-loving Boxer, named Hunter, and a rambunctious kitty named Castle.

Veterinary Technician
Zoe has worked as a Vet Tech since 1987 in various clinics, landing at Otterside in 2017. She has two adult sons, Kenny and Travis with her husband of 26 years Charlie. They own have 3 dogs and 3 cats, and their doors are always open to a variety of foster animals. In her free time she enjoys hiking, gardening, motorcycle rides and photography.

Receptionist
Jayne originally hails from a small-town north of New York City, New York.  Slowly moved her way up the Hudson Valley, landing in Vermont in 2004.  She has 2 beautiful granddaughters, a Golden Retriever, Puppet, a Cardigan Corgi, Scooter and 2 cats Little Man and Mufasa.    Recently purchased a travel trailer and looking forward to traveling across this country with her partner, Gary.  She has been with Otterside since October 2018, but has been working in the veterinary field since 2004.

​Veterinary Technician/ Surgical Assistant
Shana started working at Otterside in 2019. She graduate from the Veterinary Technician Program at Vermont Tech in 2016. Previous to coming to Otterside, she worked at a clinic in Shelburne as a Surgical Technician.In her free time she loves to hang out with her Chihuahua, Moose, and her two cats Tweetie and Twix.
